Handbook for the development of a Local Long-Term Renovation Strategy 2050 for the private housing market
European and Flemish climate goals, along with local commitments under the Covenant of Mayors, demand an integrated local approach to residential building renovations. Local governments play a key role in achieving the 2050 targets, leveraging their proximity to citizens and local expertise. Flanders supports this effort by helping translate the Flemish Long-Term Renovation Strategy into Local Long-Term Renovation Strategies (LLTRS) through information, tools, data, and strengthened Energy Houses. This publication aims to address local needs and provide a foundation for a structural approach to this significant challenge.
